Because many of the markets we are doing business in are economically challenged, we contribute ten percent of all profits to select charities worldwide.

Meet the ownership team of Global Marine
Joe Lieser | Bob Hodge | George Lieser
Joe Lieser
Joe Lieser is the president and founder of Global Marine.
He is an avid boater and fishermen who enjoys all aspects of boating. At a young age Joe earned his captain’s license, and taught himself how to handle and maintain all sizes and classes of boats and yachts.
To earn money for his college tuition, he worked as a commercial Bluefin tuna fisherman for 5 seasons out of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Joe then moved to Florida to attend Eckerd College and earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management. After college, he spent five years working for MarineMax, the world's largest publicly-owned yacht sales company and progressed to become one of the company’s leading salesman.
In June of 2008, Joe resigned from MarineMax in order to pursue his private entrepreneurial dream to own and build a marine business. On July 7th, 2008 Joe founded Global Marine with the mission of it becoming the world’s premier boat and yacht wholesale company.
Joe was recently married to his wife, Julie, and currently lives in Naples, Florida.
Bob Hodge
Bob Hodge joined Global Marine as a partner on January 1st, 2009.
A marine industry veteran of nearly 30 years, Bob started his career as a captain of a privately owned 50 foot yacht on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky during the summers of his college years at Miami University in Ohio. Soon after graduating, Bob joined a Sea Ray dealership in Cincinnati, Ohio and knew immediately that a career in the boating industry was his future.
In pursuit of year-round opportunities in the industry, Bob moved to Clearwater, Florida and began working with Gulfwind Marine which would eventually become MarineMax. Due to his outstanding leadership abilities, management style, and people skills, Bob was promoted to the position of General Manager. During his tenure with MarineMax, Bob managed several of the most profitable stores within the company.
Bob’s management responsibilities in connection with numerous store locations on the West Coast of Florida, made him a highly recognized and respected professional in the boating community. His decision to join Global Marine reflects the company’s commitment to integrity, and our genuine desire to deliver value to our customers.
Bob lives with Pamela, his wife of 24 years, in the water front community of Tierra Verde, FL. Together they have two daughters, Lauren and Elizabeth, both attending universities in Florida.
George Lieser
George Lieser is a partner in Global Marine.
Born in St. Louis Missouri, George attended Boston College and earned his Masters Degree in Urban Affairs from St. Louis University. He began his career in 1975 at The Pantheon Corporation, a real estate development firm. In 1978 George joined Mercantile Mortgage Corporation, later purchased by GMAC, and in 1983 was promoted as a Senior Vice-President and manager of the National Finance Group. In 1988, he left GMAC to form Reinlein/Lieser/McGee, a mortgage banking firm specializing in financing multifamily and healthcare properties.
In 1992, upon the sale of that Company, George founded Rockport Mortgage Corporation, a New England-based commercial real estate finance company that currently employs 16 people. Rockport Mortgage has closed approximately $3 Billion in mortgage transactions since its inception. During his 30 years in the mortgage banking industry, George has personally closed over $1.5 Billion in mortgage transactions.
When not working with Rockport Mortgage or at Global Marine, George stays active in community service and mission work. He is a 20 year board member at the North Shore Regional YMCA and is currently the chairman of a mission program in Cevicos, Dominican Republic.
George has been married to his wife Kathy for 32 years and has two sons, Jeffrey and Joe. He and Kathy reside in Rockport, Massachusetts and have a winter residence in Captiva Island, Florida.
